On this day of stuffing my face with excessive amounts of leftover turkey, I give you my Current Meat Rules:
1. Eat only meat purchased directly from the people who raised the animals.
2. At home, try to eat less meat; cook and eat more vegetarian meals.
3. Outside of the house, eat only vegetarian foods except infrequent meals at the rare restaurant serving locally-raised meat from a farm I could visit.
4. Keep exceptions to these rules infrequent and thoughtful.
